Bizable was founded on a single, clear conviction: producers deserve a real partner, not a distant consultant.

Where we came from

Audrey Quinn and Lucy Veale, each with a robust career in film and television, shared those values, making them natural successors to this culture. They took on more responsibility with every project, built deep institutional relationships, and, when Janice Dawe and Kathy Avrich-Johnson stepped back, Audrey and Lucy stepped forward — a moment years in the making.

“Life is too short to take on projects you don’t wholeheartedly love.”

That’s what they built.
And it stuck.

Today, Audrey and Lucy lead Bizable as Co-Presidents. The values are the same. The approach is the same. The energy they bring — and the way they fight for their clients— is entirely their own.

Audrey Quinn, CPA — Co-President

When she’s not deep in an Excel model, she’s relaxing by working on a craft that follows a pattern similar to an Excel spreadsheet.. Ask her about it.

Audrey is the person you want in your corner when the numbers stop making sense.

She’s spent more than a decade in production accounting and financial management, and she has a rare skill: she makes complex financial pictures feel clear and manageable. Cash flows, tax credit applications, financing structures, budget overruns — she translates all of it into language producers can actually use.

She earned her CPA designation in 2022 to better serve her clients. Before stepping into the Co-President role, she worked as Bizable’s VP of Production Financing and Financial Controller, embedded in productions, thinking ahead, catching problems before they became fires.

Her philosophy, inherited from Janice: “It’s okay to not give an answer right away. Think it through. Get it right.”

Lucy Veale — Co-President

Her music is analog. Her vinyl collection requires its own shelf unit. She has big feelings and isn’t shy about them, which turns out to be exactly what producers need.

Lucy is the person who will champion your project like it’s her own — because, once she’s in, it kind of is.

She’s one of the most well-connected business affairs minds in the country, with a career that spans Dentons Canada, Shaftesbury, and Accent Entertainment, and credits on some of Canada’s most high-profile award-winning series and films. She holds a BA in Radio and Television Arts, a certificate in Entertainment Law from Osgoode, and is an active member of Women in Film & Television Toronto.

But here’s what her résumé doesn’t capture: she genuinely believes in this work. She’ll tell you that it’s lonely being a producer — that having someone who’s fully invested in your project, who cares about it the way you care about it, is worth more than people realize. That’s how she approaches every client.

She teaches. She mentors. She sits on committees and shows up for emerging creators — including an upcoming emerging Black producers lab — because she believes that protecting Canadian stories, and the people who tell them, is urgent cultural work. “It’s increasingly important, collectively and culturally, to put our elbows up.”

The Team

Brittany Ryan
Business Affairs Associate, BC Lead

Based in Vancouver, Brittany leads Bizable’s support for producers across Western Canada. Her background spans arts administration, live performance, and screen-based media — including time as General Manager of Signal Theatre, an Indigenous-led trans-disciplinary performance company. That experience shapes everything about how she works: collaboratively, with artistic process at the centre. She brings strong skills in rights management, financial support, and project coordination, along with a genuine commitment to supporting Indigenous and culturally diverse artists. She also plays ultimate frisbee. Sometimes competitively.

Liam Theofilaktidis
Business Affairs Analyst

Liam arrived at Bizable with a background that doesn’t fit neatly into a single box: a BA in English and Finance from the University of Ottawa, a career in data management and communications, and a parallel life as a musician and writer. That range is exactly what makes him valuable. He keeps complex processes on track, prepares funding and certification applications, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. He maintains a personal website about music and politics, which is either a hobby or a second career in progress.

Anvi Pasrichi
Business Affairs Assistant

At Bizable, Anvi supports the team as a Business Affairs Assistant, contributing to project coordination, financial documentation, and the preparation of materials for funding and certification. Driven by a passion for film and television, she furthered her creative interests through a filmmaking workshop at the New York Film Academy. In her free time, Anvi enjoys reading, watching films and television, and long-distance running.

Monique Renaud
Production Accountant

Monique brings over a decade of arts administration experience to Bizable’s financial operations, along with a growing specialty in production accounting. Her theatre background gives her a deep appreciation for the creative process — and a very practical approach to making the financial side of it audit-ready. She works behind the scenes so producers can stay in front of their projects.

How we actually work

    • When you bring us in, we support the relationships with your funders, your bank, and your broadcaster. We speak on your behalf. We're not someone you check in with every few months — we're inside the production, thinking ahead, catching what you'd miss.

    • Audrey was taught early: don't pull something out of your ass. If we don't know, we'll say so, think it through, and come back with the right answer. We'd rather slow down for a moment than give you wrong information when it matters.

    • We work on projects we want to work on, with people we want to work with. That means when we're on your production, we're all in. You'll feel the difference.
